Kevin McGrath

Kevin McGrath BSc (Est Man) MRICS DipPropInvest DUniv OBE, DL was appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday 2016 Honours List and is Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and was 2014/15 High Sheriff of the County of Greater London ;.

Kevin was awarded an Honorary Degree award of the Doctor of the University from the University of Surrey in 2017 in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the arts.

Chairman of the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith (2011-2015) ; Vice chair and Co Founder of The Clink Prison Restaurant Charity the first and only commercial restaurant to be built inside a working British prison; founder and Chair of the McGrath Charitable Trust; a Trustee of the Old Vic Theatre Trust; and a Member of the Executive Board of Liberty.: Co-Founder and Chair of The Islamix Foundation (www.islamixonline.com); Chair of QPR Ladies Football Club; Trustee of The National Education Trust(2004-2016); The Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship (2009-2017)(www.victorialeague.co.uk) The Howard League for Penal Reform (2006-2014) and Vice Chair of the QPR Sport in the Community Trust.

He was a Labour Party candidate in the 2009 European Parliament Elections; a candidate for the North East Hampshire constituency at the 2005 General Election; for Ealing Council in the 2006 London Council Elections, and for the London Assembly in the 2012 London Elections.
