Kat Hoyos is an Australian Actress, singer, dancer most known for her role as Layla Habib, in Here Come The Habibs, comedy TV show. She has also appeared in Body in the Yard and was part of the stellar cast of The Road Home feature film.

Hoyos was born to a Colombian mother, a single mum who moved to Australia in the mid 1990s and lived in Sydney's western suburbs. Hoyos attended Mary Mackillop College before moving to Crounlla. During her childhood in Cronulla, her mum encouraged her dream of becoming a performer, but also urged her to go to university. Hoyos completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Theatre) from the University of Wollongong, as she set out to become a TV star.

Hoyos, whos career also consists of singing and dancing, played stage roles in Jersey Boys the Musical, Hairspray the Musical, Bring it On and has been cast as Erato for Xanadu, which played at Sydney’s Hayes Theatre.

On screen Hoyos credits include Here Come The Habibs, Body in the Yard and short film – The Road Home. She has been featured on Bonds, RTA, Pepsi Max, MacDonalds and other TV commercials.

Hoyos has performed in music clips for Guy Sebastian, Paulini, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and worked with choreographers Project Moda, at the Annual Hair Expo for the Schwarzkopf main event. She has made TV appearances including the MTV and Aria Awards, Mornings, The Australian Open Tennis final, The Helpmann Awards, Sunrise, Hey Hey its Saturday, Dancing with The Stars and nationally televised Carols by Candlelight.

Hoyos also collaborated with companies and events like Auto Salon, Sony Ericsson and Nike on shoots and product launches.
