Kameshwar Brahma is an Indian writer and the president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha. He is a former principal of Gossaigaon College, Assam. Born on 1 September 1940 in Bhumka village in the Kokrajhar district of the northeast Indian state of Assam in a Bodo family, he is reported to have contributed to the development of Bodo language through his writings and activities. He is also involved with Asam Sahitya Sabha and the social activities of Bodoland Territorial Council. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to literature, thus making him the second Bodo person to receive the honor.
