His much anticipated new single "Bad Girl" ft. Mathangi Ray released on 15 November 2016.
"Bad Girl" Music Video The accompanying music video for "Bad Girl", premiered on Twitter 14 November 2016 and within minutes went viral soon after Bollywood's Superstar "Salman Khan" tweeted a sneak preview and was released elsewhere on 15 November 2016.[16] It features British model Shelby Billingham from "MTV ex on the beach".[17] Kamaals newest music promo depicts as the title suggests a seductress “bad girl” who has no time for love and only fun, shot in a western style with plenty of authenticity, the seductive heroine mesmerises the whole audience, but alas has no desire to love, only fun. Anyone who follows her will be enslaved to her every whim. Kamaal the dashing hero in the video is completely under her spell, falls hostage to her every beck and call. Catchy beat, interesting story line, melodious vocals, depicts a modern day seductress. He is a chuddy buddy of Salman Khan.
In 1995 he wrote and produced his debut single "O Oh Jaane Jaana" in London. The song released in 1996 becoming a UK hit achieving platinum status. The song released worldwide in 1998 (together with his debut solo album) and simultaneously featured in the Bollywood blockbuster Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya starring Salman Khan and Kajol. The soundtrack went on to sell over 10 million copies and the huge success of the movie has widely been attributed by film pundits to the popularity of Kamaal's debut song. As a result of his successful debut single, Kamaal was signed by record label HMV (EMI India) in December 1997.
In 1999 Kamaal Khan won the "R.D.Burman" Filmfare Award for the "Most Promising Upcoming Talent" becoming the first UK born winner of the coveted Filmfare Award since its introduction in 1954. He is also a winner/nominee of numerous MTV, Filmfare, ZEE and Channel [V] awards for both singing and acting. He went on to achieve further success with his solo albums O Oh Jaane Jana, Suno To Deewana Dil and "Kal Raat". MTV Award-winning director Shivraj Santhakumar collaborated with Kamaal to shoot a music video for Kal Raat in Rome. The music video caught the eye of Bollywood director Rahul Rawail and landed Kamaal his debut acting role.
