Kalraj Mishra is the Indian Union Cabinet Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the BJP-led NDA government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Being affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he is currently a member of parliament of the same from Deoria constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Mishra is a Brahmin leader from Uttar Pradesh.
He was a member of Rajya Sabha and a MLA from Lucknow East assembly constituency. He was also President of Uttar Pradesh state unit of the BJP.
He was appointed as the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He is considered as one of the most loyal partyworker of Bharatiya Janata Party who is responsible for the rise of BJP in Uttar Pradesh. He believes in work for the welfare of the society & has never given importance to the position. Wonderful orator and a thinktank of BJP.
Mishra was born in a middle class Brahmin family in Malikpur Ghazipur District (eastern UP) as a fourth son of a family, his father was a teacher Shri Ramagya Mishra. Born in 1941 in Deoria District of Uttar Pradesh, he obtained his M.A. degree from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi.
