Kalamunda Eastern Suns is a State Basketball League (SBL) club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club fields a team in both the Men's SBL (MSBL) and Women's SBL (WSBL). The club is a division of Kalamunda & Districts Basketball Association (KDBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the City of Kalamunda. The Eastern Suns play their home games at Ray Owen Sports Centre.

In 2008, Kalamunda & Districts Basketball Association (KDBA) secured a Men's and Women's State Basketball League license and subsequently named their representative teams the Eastern Suns. The inaugural men's coach was Joe Mackay, while Craig Mansfield and Rob Butt coached the women's team. The 2008 season saw the men miss the post-season with a ninth-place finish and a 12–14 record, while the women earned a finals berth with a sixth-place finish and a 13–11 record. The Eastern Suns women went on to sweep the third-seeded Cockburn Cougars in the Quarter Finals before losing to the eventual champion Perry Lakes Hawks in the Semi Finals.

Between 2008 and 2016, the Eastern Suns men qualified for the post-season just two times, earning quarter-final sweeps in both 2009 and 2012. The women meanwhile played finals basketball in seven out of their first nine seasons. In 2013, the women made their way through to their first WSBL Grand Final behind coach Craig Mansfield and captain Chelsea Armstrong, as well as Ajay Jones, Jennie Rintala and Melissa Moyle. They finished the regular season in fifth position with a 12–10 record and advanced through the first two rounds of the finals undefeated, beating the Lakeside Lightning in the Quarter Finals and the defending champion South West Slammers in the Semi Finals. However, they fell short in their quest for a maiden title, losing 72–47 in the championship decider to the Wanneroo Wolves.
