Kaji (Nepal)

Kaji (Nepali: काजी) is a title and position used by Nepalese nobility which had control over civil and military functions during the Shah rule of Nepal.

Kirtiman Singh Basnyat was the Chief Kazi (Mulkazi) before his assassination. Later Damodar Pande was appointed by Queen Rajrajeshwari as Chief Kazi. He is considered as First Prime Minister of Nepal by many historians.
