KNKC-LD is a low-powered television station that is licensed to and serving Lubbock, Texas. It is owned by DTV America Corporation, and is an affiliate of Estrella TV. Its sister station is fellow Estrella TV affiliate KLKW-LD in Amarillo.
KNKC-LD’s application dates back to 2011 under the call sign K29KC-D. The station changed to their current call sign of KNKC-LD in 2013. They were on the air by January 2014.
Estrella TV is the station’s primary affiliation on their main channel on 29-1. Channel 29-2 carries Doctor TV, a healthy lifestyle network. In 2015, a third subchannel was launched to carry the Sonlife Broadcasting Network. In December 2015, GetTV replaced DrTV on the second subchannel.
