Junud al-Sham (Soldiers of the Levant) is a group of Chechen and Lebanese Sunni fighters who have fought during the Syrian Civil War. By early 2016, Junud al-Sham had reportedly weakened significantly, with its leader Muslim Abu Walid al Shishani reproached other insurgent groups in Syria for not providing assistance, and with many of its members leaving the group to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
On 16 November 2016 the group dissolved with most members joining Ajnad al-Kavkaz.
