Juneidi Basha (Ge'ez: ጁኔይዲ ባሻ; born 1961) is the President of Ethiopian Football Federation, in office since 2013, a member of CAF Africa Cup of Nations Organizing Committee and a former member of FIFA Marketing and TV Committee. Juneidi is an elected government official, a corporate leader, a football administrator and a businessman. With over 25 years of management service and experience providing effective community-driven leadership to corporates, government organizations and NGOs both in Ethiopia and abroad, Juneidi has built a reputation as a leading authority in the brewery industry in Ethiopia and has been recognized as one of Ethiopia's 3 Top Industry Leaders by the government of Ethiopia.
Juneidi was appointed General Manager of Harar Brewery in 1994, after graduating from the Addis Ababa University. Juneidi served as General Manager for over 18 years and became one of the longest serving general managers in the country. Juneidi was highly regarded for successes achieved under his leaderhsip. Harar Brewery was awarded nationally for three years in a row for being the best company in the country by the Ethiopian Quality Awards Organization. While serving as General Manager at the brewery, he founded and served as protectorate of Harar Brewery Football Club and Dire Dawa and Harar Brewery bicycle clubs. From 2010 to 2014, he was elected for two terms as Vice President of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and was a member of a high-level Ethiopian public diplomacy delegation that traveled to Egypt to negotiate with the Egyptian government and business community.
Juneidi was elected president of the Ethiopia Football Federation on October 10, 2013 to replace Sahilu Gebrewold. He beat three other candidates for the top football job in the East African nation, winning 55 out of the 101 votes at EFF General assembly. Juneidi represented the eastern region of Dire Dawa. In February 2016, Juneidi was appointed by FIFA electoral committee as an independent scrutineer to oversee and monitor the 2016 FIFA Presidential elections in Zurich. He served as a member of FIFA Marketing and TV Committee from 2014 to 2016 and CAF African Cup of Nations Organizing Committee from 2014 to 2017.
