Julia Turner (journalist)

Julia Turner is an American journalist and critic. She has been the editor-in-chief of online magazine Slate since 2014, replacing David Plotz. She was one of a panel of three hosts on WNYC's Gabfest.

Turner graduated from "Brown University, grew up in Boston and is the daughter of two former Boston Globe journalists." She joined Slate as an editorial assistant in 2003.

She is married to HBO producer Ben Wasserstein.
