Jordan Schmidt is a songwriter, music producer, engineer, and mix engineer. In 2015, Jordan Schmidt signed with Tree Vibez Music, a publishing company started by Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line. He has produced, engineered, mixed and/or co-written tracks for Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Granger Smith, Motion City Soundtrack, One Ok Rock, All Time Low, Quietdrive, and many others. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jordan Schmidt was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on February 26, 1988, to local musicians Mark and Tammy Schmidt. He was drawn to music at an early age, picking up the guitar when he was 10 years old, and started recording local artists at the age of 16. In 2006, Schmidt moved to College Park, Maryland, and was an assistant to Matt Squire. After a year of working with Matt, he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he recorded bands such as Motion City Soundtrack, Quietdrive,Sing It Loud,You, Me, and Everyone We Know, Jamestown Story, Paradise Fears, Take Cover, and The Role Call. Schmidt has also produced and/or co-written many songs licensed to popular TV shows, such as NCIS: New Orleans, Hart of Dixie, Catfish, Jersey Shore, The Biggest Loser, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Real World, Dr. Phil, Snooki & JWoww, Battle Creek, and a MasterCard commercial.
