Jonathan Sprague (born 10 June 1988) is an American musician, mime, photographer, and artist. He is a former vocalist and guitarist of the musical group Steam Powered Giraffe. He left the group in 2012.

Jon Sprague was born on June 10, 1988, in Sacramento, California. He attended Grossmont College, where he studied miming with Erin Burke, as well as identical twins David Michael Bennett and Isabella "Bunny" Bennett. They joined a local mime group called Troupe SD, engaging in street performances in Balboa Park, California as robotic characters.

Steam Powered Giraffe officially formed in 2008, composed of Jon, David and Isabella Bennett, and Erin Burke. Jon's fictional alias was that of "The Jon", a gold Art Deco robot created by an inventor named Peter A. Walter in 1896. In October 2009, they released their debut album, Album One, featuring various songs with vocals and guitar by Jon, including their previously released single "Brass Goggles". Jon was let go from the group in 2012, after he was busy with multiple other projects and could not dedicate the entirety of his time to the band.

Jon currently works on photography, portraits, and other art-related projects in La Mesa in San Diego County, California. He is also a dancer, photographer, and musician. He can play guitar, bass, mandolin, piano, mouth harp, cello, and mbira, among other instruments.
