John Wilfred Bosa (born January 10, 1964) is a former professional American football defensive end who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins. He played for Keene High School in Keene, New Hampshire and received a full athletic scholarship to play football for the Boston College Eagles.
His eldest son, Joey Bosa, played college football at Ohio State University and was selected third overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. His youngest son, Nick Bosa, also committed to play college football at Ohio State. Joey and Nick both wore #97 in college, the same number their father wore.
John's wife, the former Cheryl Kumerow, is the sister of former Dolphins teammate Eric Kumerow.
