American music producers Joey Chavez and Tavish "Bravo" Graham, have been working together since 1992, but officially started producing together under the name Sid Roams, in 2004. In a 2009 interview with Unkut, Bravo recalled how their name came about: "We had this vision that we would create a character, because Joey and I had been working on beats together for so long, we were like, ‘Let’s create a one-man character, like one person’. Sid Roams to us was just like this legend – this former gangster, he was retired, he was like 75 years-old, maybe Cuban, maybe Colombian. He was like this wrinkly old man and he owns a villa on some island in the Caribbean with his harem of women and just makes beats and shit. We decided that that’s who Sid Roams was."'
