Joel Ekelöf, vocalist born 1980 in . During his musical career he has released two albums with the band Willowtree.

On May 28, 2010 it was announced that Joel Ekelöf, Martin Lopez (Opeth, Amon Amarth), Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Testament, Sadus) and Kim Platbarzdis had initiated a project called Soen. Their debut album Cognitive was released on February 15, 2012.
