Joanne Catherine Ryan (born 29 July 1961) is an Australian politician. She is a member of the Australian House of Representatives since September 2013 representing the Division of Lalor, Victoria for the Australian Labor Party.
Ryan completed a Bachelor of Education (Arts) at the University of Melbourne. Ryan was a former school Principal at Moonee Ponds Central School. Prior to this she worked at Laverton Secondary College and Galvin Park Secondary College in Werribee, Victoria.
Ryan won the seat of Lalor at the 2013 election, and secured a 12.2% margin.
Ryan currently serves as Opposition Whip in the Australian House of Representatives and has done so since 16 October 2013.
