James C. "Jim" Hammond (born June 18, 1950 in Missoula, Montana) has been a resident and mayor of Post Falls, Idaho. Hammond is a Republican Idaho State Senator since 2006 and is representing the 5th District. He is married to Cyndie and has three children: Sean, T.J., and Kurt. In February 2012 he announced that he would not be seeking another term, saying "Serving the people of District 5 has been a privilege that I have greatly enjoyed."
