Jesse Rice


Jesse Rice is an American singer-songwriter and producer. Rice co-wrote the multi-platinum, award- winning #1 song "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line, which was named Single of the Year in 2013 by the Country Music Association and the Academy Of Country Music, as well as Country Song of the Year at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

"Cruise" has sold over 10 million copies, making it the highest-selling country music song of all time and the only country song to receive a Diamond certification by the RIAA.

"Cruise" sat at #1 on the Billboard Country charts for a record 27 weeks and was re-mixed and recorded by the rap artist Nelly, whose version went to become a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Pop charts.

Rice received the Song Of the Year award for "Cruise" at the 2013 SESAC Music Awards.

Other songs written by Rice include the Colt Ford single "The High Life", "Whoa" from the Chase Rice album Ignite the Night, the Kristian Bush single "Light Me Up" from his solo album Southern Gravity, and the song "While He's Still Around" from the upcoming Florida Georgia Line album Dig Your Roots.

Rice moved to Nashville in 2003, where he interned for EMI Music Publishing before signing his first publishing deal with Artist Revolution Publishing in 2007. He is now signed to a worldwide publishing deal with Ole Music Publishing.
