Jean Ricardou (17 June 1932 – 23 July 2016) was a French writer and theorist of the nouveau roman literary movement. Between 1962 and 1971, Ricardou was on the editorial board of French avant-garde journal Tel Quel.
To date, only Les lieux-dits (translated as Place Names: A Brief Guide to Travels in the Book by Jordan Stump for Dalkey Archive Press) has been translated into English.
