Jean-Pascal Tricoire (born 11 May 1963) is the CEO and chairman of the multinational electricity company Schneider Electric.

Tricoire started his career at the telecoms firm Alcatel in 1985 before moving to the oilfield services company Schlumberger and then onto the construction firm St Gobain the following year. He then moved to the electrics company Merlin Gerin, which was subsequently acquired by Schneider Electric. From 1988 onwards, he spent the majority of his time working abroad at Schneider’s international operations, with a five year stint in Italy, five years in China, and another year in South Africa.

When he returned to France in 1999, he was appointed as head of Schneider’s global strategic accounts and of the Schneider 2000+ programme. Between January 2002 and 2003, Tricoire was the executive president of the firm’s international division, and in October 2003, he became COO.

In May 2006, he was appointed as the CEO and chairman of the board, succeeding Henri Lachman.

Tricoire is a fan of travel, whitewater sports and technology.
