Jason Binn is an American publisher and entrepreneur known for founding Niche Media (and does business now as www.greengale.com) and DuJour Media. Binn is also an executive director of the private jet company JetSmarter.

Binn originally attended the University of Cincinnati; he then graduated from the Boston University College Of Communications Cum Laude, with honors.

Binn founded Ocean Drive magazine, a luxury publication focusing on Miami, in 1992. In 1998, he founded Niche Media, a publisher of regional luxury magazines including Hamptons Magazine, Aspen Peak, Boston Common, Capitol File, Gotham, Los Angeles Confidential, Vegas Magazine and Michigan Avenue.

Under Binn, Niche Media created custom publications for Art Basel Miami Beach, Wynn Las Vegas and the Short Hills Mall for the Taubman real estate organization. Niche Media was acquired by Greenspun Media Group in 2007.

Binn served as chief adviser to Kevin Ryan in 2010, the founder and CEO of online luxury retailer Gilt. In January 2016, Ryan sold Gilt to Hudson’s Bays Company, which includes Saks, Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth. Binn later left Niche Media and became chairman of Gilt; he continues to serve as Chief Adviser in the newly acquired company.

In 2012, Binn founded DuJour Media, a quarterly print publication and digital magazine for wealthy readers, sent to Gilt’s database of subscribers.

Binn has been credited with breaking major stories, including an exclusive interview with Dennis Rodman on his visit to North Korea as a guest of Kim Jong-un, and Donald Sterling after a racist rant where Stirling admitted he should have paid off his ex-girlfriend.
