Janusz C. Szajna - Polish entrepreneur and university professor.
J. Szajna was the organizer and Director of Computer Engineering and Electronic Department at Zielona Gora University.
He was one of 4 co-founders of ADB Group (Advanced Digital Broadcast) (SWX:ADBN), an ICT company operating in the field of Digital TV.
In particular, he was the founder, and, between 1995 and 2012, President of ADB Poland – ADB Group Corporate R&D Center, which developed software and hardware for digital TV and home networking devices, employing over 500 ICT engineers.
Set top boxes developed by ADB Poland obtained 12 times the title ‘Product of the Year’ at IBC, MIS Research, CSI, and IPTV World Forum.
At that time ADB sold over 30 million set-top boxes to Australia, Taiwan, Israel, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Norway, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Poland.
In 2006, ADB Group has been listed among the fastest growing European companies, published by Europe's 500 - Entrepreneurs for Growth
In 2012 ADB Group reached an annual turnover of US$452 million.
J. Szajna is the founder, and since 2013, President of Digital Technology Poland (DTP), R&D company in the field of Smart Industry.
He is Professor at Zielona Gora University.
J. Szajna was awarded a title ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Ernst & Young, in Services category, Poland, 2004.
