JAARS is a census-designated place (CDP) in Union County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 360 at the 2000 census. The region's name comes from JAARS, a non-profit organization that is located there.

JAARS is located at 34°51′44″N 80°44′50″W / 34.86222°N 80.74722°W / 34.86222; -80.74722 (34.862297, -80.747115).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2), all of it land.

As of 2000, there were 360 people, 126 households, and 100 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 424.7 people per square mile (163.5/km²).
