Isigny Sainte-Mère

Isigny Sainte-Mère is a dairy product maker in Isigny-sur-Mer in north-western France.

It won World Cheese Awards in 2001 for a Camembert Super Medaillon, and again, in 2004 for a Camembert Normandie. It also makes a Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) butter and cream, as well as other cheeses (Mimolette, Pont-l'Évêque, and Trésor d'Isigny). All based on cow's milk.

Together with Lactalis, the Isigny cooperative made 90 % of all camembert from Normandy in 2007, the year in which they started pasteurizing the cow's milk thus losing the AOC status.

It is a cooperative established in 1980, as a merger of Sainte-Mère cooperative (established 1909) and Isigny-sur-Mer (established 1932) cooperative.
