Ischyrhiza is an extinct genus of cartilaginous fish from the Cretaceous and Paleogene belonging to the primitive Batoidea family Sclerorhynchidae. It was not just restricted to North America, also found in Japan, Bolivia, Chile, Peru and other various places and various fossil specimens are found in the Paleocene North America.
