Irina Nijinska (20 November 1913 - 2 July 1991) was a Russian-born ballet dancer. The daughter of the dancer and choreographer Bronislava Nijinska, she spent much of her life promoting her mother's work.
Irina Nijinska was born in St Petersburg, the daughter of Bronislava Nijinska and Alexander Kotchetovsky; her uncle was Vaslav Nijinsky. Trained as a dancer in Paris, she made her debut with the Olga Spessivtzeva Ballet in 1930. Forced to give up dancing after a car accident in 1936, she became an assistant to her mother. She also translated and edited her mother's autobiography, the first volume of which appeared in 1981.Irina Nijinska died in a hospital in Inglewood CA after suffering of a stroke at the age of 77.
