Ionel Augustin (born 11 October 1955) is a Romanian retired footballer.
He was born in Bucharest and made his debut in Divizia A with Dinamo Bucureşti in 1975. He spent eleven seasons with Dinamo, winning the league title three years in a row from 1982 through 1984. Midway in the 1985/1986 season, he was transferred to Victoria Bucureşti, where he helped them win the 3rd place in the 1987 and 1988 seasons. He retired in 1990.
Augustin got 34 caps, scored third goals for the Romanian national team, and represented his country at Euro 1984.
