International Clash Day is an international holiday that honors and celebrates the legendary punk rock band The Clash. Numerous radio stations in several countries observe the holiday by playing Clash songs and conducting relevant interviews throughout the day.
The holiday began on February 5, 2013, when John Richards, a host and producer at Seattle radio station KEXP played Clash songs throughout the morning. The holiday has since been recognized via official proclamations from numerous cities including Seattle, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas, as well as the state of Washington.
