Imre

Imre is a Hungarian masculine first name, which is also in Estonian use. The origin of the name is not clear. Some argue that it derived from the Gothic Amalareiks, or from the High German whose Latinized version is Emericus, or from the Turkish emir (leader), or Emre, a traditional Turkic given name.
