Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is an annual Christmas event held in London from November to January each year. It is one of the biggest Christmas events in Europe, featuring several festive markets, over 100 rides and attractions as well as bars and restaurants. Since its launch in 2007, Winter Wonderland has attracted 14 million visitors.
Winter Wonderland was established in 2007 by PWR Events, in association with the Royal Parks. The company had previously hosted outdoor ice skating rinks at the Tower of London, Greenwich and Hampstead Heath as well as creating the Windsor Beer and Jazz Festivals.
Winter Wonderland attracts many celebrities and well known personalities, particularly on its annual Charity Preview Night.
Jane Owen of The Times stated in February 2015 that: "Winter Wonderland and the British Summer Time concerts, plus time for setting up and reinstating the grass, put 13 per cent of Hyde Park out of bounds for much of the year."
