The Hyatt Regency Dubai is a luxury, five-star hotel located on Deira Corniche in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Its is the first Hyatt Hotel in UAE. It has 414 rooms and an additional complex of 370 apartments called The Galleria Residence.
The construction of the hotel began in 1977 backed by the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai. It was opened to the public on May 5, 1980. Garry Whitney of the design house ‘3D International’ designed the building .
The property is built over 700,352 sq. ft. It has meeting & conventions space of 20,032 sq. ft. The hotel has a fitness centre and spa, ice rink, mini golf course, Al Dawaar, the only revolving restaurant in Dubai, Miyako, the first Japanese restaurant in UAE, Shahrzad, an Iranian restaurant, The Kitchen, an international restaurant, Hibiki, a Karaoke lounge, Carpenter's Bar, pub style bar and The Bar, a contemporary venue with views of the Persian Gulf. Club Olympus Spa & Fitness, has a gym, spa and temperature-controlled pool, besides tennis and squash courts and a jogging track.
