Hurry Sundown is the third album by American southern rock band Outlaws, released in 1977. See (1977 in music). The title track became a concert staple, and fan favorite. The album features the bands strongest lineup, as four members, Hughie Thomasson , Henry Paul, Billy Jones, plus Harvey Dalton Arnold, who replaced Frank O'Keefe on bass, all contributed songwriting and lead vocals. Paul would leave the band after the albums release.
With the "Hurry Sundown" album the Outlaws dove even deeper into a country sound. Thomasson plays pedal steel on some tracks, and banjo on the bluegrass track "So Afraid".
