Hudson Township is a civil township of Lenawee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 1,576. The City of Hudson is located within the township, but is administratively autonomous.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.5 square miles (95 km2), of which 35.4 square miles (92 km2) is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) (3.01%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,576 people, 597 households, and 437 families residing in the township. The population density was 44.5 per square mile (17.2/km²). There were 719 housing units at an average density of 20.3 per square mile (7.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.03% White, 0.06% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.06% Asian, 1.21% from other races, and 0.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.60% of the population.
There were 597 households out of which 27.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 23.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.00.
