How Did We Get So Dark? is the second studio album by British rock duo Royal Blood. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records on 16 June 2017.
Royal Blood recorded their sophomore album, at ICP Studios in Belgium, between November 2016 and January 2017. The band worked together with Producer Jolyon Thomas and Recording Engineer drew BANG during the ICP sessions. At the end of January 2017, the band went back in to the studio with Producer Tom Dalgety, in order to record final material, prior to release. The songs recorded during these sessions with Dalgety at RAK Studios, St. Johns Wood, "How Did We Get So Dark? and "Hook, Line & Sinker" went on to replace two songs from the ICP sessions on the final album. The two deposed tracks, "Cheap Affection" and "Half The Chance" produced with Thomas and BANG, can be found on the Deluxe Edition of How Did We Get So Dark? as Bonus Tracks.
All tracks written by Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher.
