Houy Meas

Houy Meas (Khmer: ) (6 January 1946 – c.1977) was a Cambodian singer. She was born in Svay Por Commune, Sangker District, Battambang Province, Cambodia.

Her songs included Samros Borey Tioulong and Unique Child. She also acted as judge, together with other singers such as Sinn Sisamouth, Ly Tek, Touch Teng, Mao Sareth and Chhoun Malai, in the formal public song contest Samach Cheat that was established by Norodom Sihanouk.

During the period before her death, she was the most popular female radio DJ in Cambodia. Srey Channthys stated in interviews that Houy Meas was raped by several Khmer Rouge soldiers and then killed.
