House Party 2 is the soundtrack to the 1991 film, House Party 2. It was released on October 15, 1991 through MCA Records after Motown Records was sold to PolyGram. The soundtrack consisted of a blend of hip hop and contemporary R&B with audio from the film.
The second soundtrack was an improvement over the first, making it to 55 on Billboard 200 and 23 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and featured the charting singles, "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody" by Kid 'N Play, "House Party (I Don't Know What You Come to Do)" by R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!, and "Yo Baby Yo" by Ralph Tresvant.
House Party 2 is notable for having the final recording from rapper MC Trouble, who died from an epilieptic seizure several months before the soundtrack's release.
