Hopewell Township is a township in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 957 at the 2010 census.
The Wilson's Mill Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 20.5 square miles (53 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 992 people, 354 households, and 304 families residing in the township. The population density was 48.3 people per square mile (18.7/km²). There were 370 housing units at an average density of 18.0/sq mi (7.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.89% White, 0.40% African American, and 0.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.20% of the population. 13% of Hopewell Township reported Scotch-Irish ancestry, the second largest percentage for any populated place in the United States. An additional 15% reported Irish ancestry and 2% reported Scottish ancestry.
There were 354 households out of which 35.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.9% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.1% were non-families. 11.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
