The Accord Euro or second-generation Acura TSX was launched in China at the end of 2009 rebadged as the Honda Spirior, where it is built by Dongfeng Honda. The first generation Honda Spirior is known as Acura TSX in North America and as Honda Accord (8th gen) in Europe and Japan. In China, the Honda Spirior is manufactured by the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture to avoid the direct overlap with the Honda Accord manufactured by Guangqi Honda.
The Honda Spirior II sedan debuted as a concept on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. The Spirior II Concept previews the 2nd generation Honda Spirior sedan that was launched on the China car market in early 2015 to fill in the gap in the Dongfeng Honda lineup after the EU version of the Accord and the Acura TSX ceased to develop a next generation. The second generation Honda Spirior is an independent model sold exclusively in China only and also offered in a hotter Spirior Si trim with ducktail spoiler and different front and rear bumpers.
