Hollis is located at 55°29′4″N 132°42′57″W / 55.48444°N 132.71583°W / 55.48444; -132.71583 (55.484404, -132.715921).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 64.6 square miles (167 km2), of which, 63.2 square miles (164 km2) of it is land and 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2) of it (2.15%) is water.

Hollis has an oceanic climate (Köppen Cfb).

As of the census of 2000, there were 139 people, 55 households, and 38 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2.2 people per square mile (0.8/km²). There were 95 housing units at an average density of 1.5/sq mi (0.6/km²).
