Hertfordshire Cricket League

The Hertfordshire Cricket League is a league cricket competition based in the county of Hertfordshire, England.

Until 2013 it served as a feeder league to the Home Counties Premier Cricket League, which is a designated ECB Premier League, the highest level of recreational club cricket in England and Wales. The Hertfordshire clubs withdrew from the Home Counties Premier Cricket League at the end of the 2013 season and returned to the Hertfordshire Cricket League, and the Premier Division of the Hertfordshire Cricket League became an ECB Premier League in its own right for 2015.

Although most of the leagues member clubs are located within the borders of the county, teams from North London and across the border into Bedfordshire are also members. The league is sponsored by Saracens Rugby Football Club.

The clubs competing in the Premier Division in 2017 will be: Bishop's Stortford, Harpenden, Hertford, Letchworth Garden City, Luton Town and Indians, North Mymms, Potters Bar, Radlett, Totteridge Millhillians, and Welwyn Garden City.

Radlett were the champions in the transitional 2014 season. Since the league became an ECB Premier League in 2015 the champions have been as follows.

The league has its origins in two smaller leagues in the county, the original Hertfordshire Cricket League and the Hertfordshire Cricket Competition, which merged in 1994. The league is run by a committee consisting of elected persons from member clubs. The league can also invite additional members to join on a co-option basis.

The League consists of a total of 27 divisions, most of which contain ten teams. Promotion and relegation are at stake in all divisions.
