Herpetogaster is an extinct monotypic cambroernid genus of animal from the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale containing the species Herpetogaster collinsi. Six specimens of Herpetogaster are known from the Greater Phyllopod bed, where they comprise less than 0.01% of the community.
