Heo Chanmi (Hangul: 이수미; born April 6, 1992) is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actress. She is a former member of girl group F-ve Dolls, and coed group Coed School. She is a former trainee for SM Entertainment who was close to debut with Girls Generation She is currently in Duble Kick Entertainment.
Chanmi went to Anyang School of Arts (Theater and Cinema). Where she graduated on February 9, 2011.
Chanmi started in her career in 2004 where she signed with S.M. Entertainment as a trainee. She trained for a long time until she didn't made the final cut to be part of Girls' Generation. due to the fact she was the youngest and was only in 7th grade. She also has a group photo of all the members back when they were about to debut.
Chanmi signed with Core Contents Media where she was the main vocal of the group Coed School. She and Lee Soomi, Taewoon, Sungmin, Jungwoo, Hyoyoung, Hyewon, Kwanghaeng, Kangho, and Noori where all members of the group and released the songs "Too Late" and "Bbiribbom Bberibbom".
By mid 2011 Coed School split and became sub units. Chanmi was placed in F-ve Dolls with the other 3 girls and one new one, She was the protagonist in the music video drama Lip Stains and Your Words who also featured Lee Soomi and Jay Park. By 2013 Co-ed was no longer active and Chanmi remained in F-ve Dolls until 2012 and left to become her own solo artist. She left Core Contents Media along with Soomi the same year.
Chamni took part in Produce 101, as a contestant and won the begging. She was placed in the "A" category and sang an English cover of the song "Please don't stop the music by Rihanna. By episode #3 she had sever sore throat that made her not sing well. In which caused her some of the notes in the trials and presentations. On episode #10 she was eliminated leaving 26th place. She was part of the sub group for performance named "7 go up" with Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Dani, Park Soyeon, Choi Yoojung, Park Siyeon, and Jeon Somi to create the song Yum Yum (얌얌). Chanmi explained when her group for performances picked a Girls Generation song to sing she said "I could have debuted as a Girls’ Generation member, but singing this song feels new and brings a lot of different thoughts to mind,”
