Helen Wood (born 28 November 1986) from Bromley Cross,Bolton is a British reality television participant, journalist and former escort. Wood is best known as the winner of Big Brother 15 and involvement with England footballer Wayne Rooney whilst working as an escort. Wood had a regular column in the Daily Star newspaper until March 2017.

Wood was brought up in Bolton by her parents, Stephen Wood, a university music lecturer, and Mary Wood, a teacher. She has two brothers: Gareth and Daniel. She attended Thornleigh School.

When she was 16 she left home to live with her boyfriend, electrician David Warburton. She became pregnant and gave birth to her son, Jack, in November 2003, shortly before her 17th birthday.

In 2006 Wood was a single mother and in debt and was recruited into escort work by her friend Jenny Thompson. She claims to have slept with four millionaire footballers, three actors and a judge while working as an escort.

Wood claims Wayne Rooney paid £1,000 for a threesome with her and her friend Jennifer Thompson in a Manchester hotel while his wife, Coleen Rooney, was five months pregnant. It was reported his solicitors unsuccessfully tried to fight the allegations when they first surfaced in early August 2010. Wood was subsequently paid £40,000 for her story.

In August 2011 Wood was attacked by Rooney supporters in Bolton's Victoria Inn. The attack and injuries she sustained prompted her to have extensive plastic surgery.

In 2011 a well-known actor also took out a court injunction to prevent her revealing their relationship. The actor paid Wood £195 for sex after booking her through an escort agency in March 2010. Despite the injunction, the actor's name was revealed in the Irish and US press.
