Hassan Damluji (Arabic: حسن الدملوجي) is a British-Iraqi development strategist and the Head of Middle East Relations at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role Damluji serves as the Middle East adviser to Bill Gates and Melinda Gates. In 2015 he was named by Arabian Business as one of the “100 Most Powerful Arabs Under 40”, and in 2016 was ranked 62 on their list of "The World's Most Influential Young Arabs".. He is the nephew of Iraqi politician and women's rights campaigner Maysoon Al-Damluji. His father moved to the UK from Baghdad in 1970 and his mother is originally Irish.
Damluji is a board member of the Lives & Livelihoods Fund, a $2.5 billion fund which is the "largest ever Middle-East based, fully-multilateral development initiaitve", according to Gulf News.
