Haruichi Furudate (古舘 春一 Furudate Haruichi?) is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the shōnen manga series Haikyū!! Haruichi Furudate was born on March 7, 1982 in the Iwate Prefecture, Japan. He is currently employed by Shueisha Inc. Furudate's gender has never been officially revealed to the public, but the general belief among Japanese readers, since the mangaka has never attended any event, is that Furudate is female.
