Happy Perez is an American musician, record producer, and songwriter based in Houston, Texas. He first rose to national prominence in 1998 for his production work on Young Bleed's My Balls and My Word which, after being signed and endorsed by Master P, was certified RIAA Gold.
Since then, he has produced, written, and played on a diverse array of songs and Billboard chart-topping hits including Baby Bash – "Suga Suga" and Frankie J – "Obsession". His production prowess earned him a nod on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy after one of his early samplers caught Kanye's ear and was used for the building blocks of "Power". Happy was also instrumental in developing the careers of Miguel and Frank Ocean through his work on their breakout hits, "Sure Thing" and "We All Try", respectively.
