Hagibis was a Filipino singing group from the Philippines.
Inspired by American disco-pop group Village People, the group was formed in Manila, Philippines in 1979. They were composed of Bernie Fineza (died January 15, 2015), Mike Respall, Sonny Parsons, Joji Garcia and Mon Picazzo. Mike Hanopol was the group's producer and main songwriter. Best known for their macho image and their equally macho songs like "Katawan", "Legs", "Lalake", among others, they earned the title of 'Village People of the Philippines'. They are still remembered with the same title as of today.
In 1981, Hagibis was featured in the action movie Legs, Katawan, Babae with Myrna Castillo, Laarni Enriquez, Dinah Dominguez and Val Iglesias, directed by Tony Ferrer. One of Hagibis' members, Sonny Parsons, went on to become an action star.
