Håkon Haugli


Håkon Haugli (born 21 May 1969) is a Norwegian jurist, administrator and politician for the Labour Party. He is a deputy representative at the Parliament of Norway, representing Oslo, and meets regularly instead of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

Haugli became a member of the Labor Party in 1989.

He was among the founders of the network Lesbiske og homofile sosialdemokrater (Lesbian and Gay Socialdemocrats) in 2004 and has been its leader since 2005.

On 20 March 2012, Haugli was elected as the first rapporteur for LGBT issues in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Among other political issues he has focused on is crime and housing.

He was not nominated on the Labour Party´s list for the Norwegian parliamentary election, 2013 after he lost a fight for the seventh place against Truls Wickholm.
