Grito Povo Futebol Clube, also as Grito do Povo, Grito d' Povo and Gritu du Puvu (Fogo Creole/Djarfogu) Futebol Clube is a football (soccer) club that currently plays in the Fogo Island Leaguein Cape Verde. It is based in the village of Ribeira do Ilhéu located northeast of São FIlipe in the north of the island and in the municipality of Mosteiros. The club area covers the west of the municipality.
Its football (soccer) logo has a blue circle with a white tab with an edge in the middle with thin blue rims on each side, inside is the club name as "Grito Povo".
In the 2000s, the club competed in both Premier and Second Divisions, much of the time they were in the Second Division.
The club was champions of the Second Division and entered the Premier Division where they would be for the next three years. In 2013, Grito Povo finished 8th right above the level there they did not entered the division decisional matches, they had 13 points, 3 wins and 4 draws. In the 2014 season, the club had 13 points and finished with four wins and a draw, they scored 21 goals and conceded 51, the most of any clubs of the season, a goal difference behind Juventude and União de São Lourenço, the finished 9th and put themselves in the division decisional match, the club challenged Parque Real, second in the Second Division and in goal totals lost to that club and Grito Povo exited the Premier Division and spent the next season in the Second, where they currently are today. The first season had no success into the second phase, in 2016, they headed into the semis and lost a match there. For the 2017 season, Grito Povo played in Group B and was placed first with 19 points, 6 matches and a draw and qualified into the final phase where the club is today.
